The IERC is an industry-led collaborative research centre in the field of integrated sustainable energy systems, and is jointly funded by the Irish government and industry members.
www.ierc.ie/ The Renewable Gas Forum Ireland (RGFI) is an industry forum that represents the interests of those involved in the renewable gas supply chain across the island of Ireland. They are representing the Irish renewable gas industry in this project.
www.renewablegasforum.com/ DENA are the German Energy Agency, a centre of expertise for energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and intelligent energy systems. They will develop the biogas registry for the project.

The Biofuels and Bioenergy research group of the Science Foundation Ireland MaREI Centre for Marine and Renewable Energy have carried out extensive research on the resource potential for green gas in Ireland. They are leading the stakeholder engagement in the project.
www.marei.ie/ Gas Networks Ireland operate the Irish gas grid. They have been active in engaging with Irish industry to identify development opportunities for green gas.
www.gasnetworks.ie/ DBFZ are the German Biogas Research Centre. They have considerable experience in biogas research and development, which includes green gas certification. They will develop the method to calculate greenhouse gas emissions saved for Irish biogas sources and processes.

Stakeholder engagementThe Green Gas Certification project was launched in Dublin on Wednesday 26th April 2017. Over 60 industry experts, policy makers and academics attended. The project team presented the plan for the project and led a lively discussion with the stakeholders to identify their priorities for the certification scheme. Massachusetts State Senator Marc Pacheco provided an international perspective as he spoke about the climate initiatives that he delivered in his home state. The MaREI team will engage with key policy makers, industry and the wider energy community to ensure that their needs are included in the scheme design. Media:
